Abstract
This research examines the shared responsibility of family, state, and society regarding punishable acts committed by adolescents in Venezuela. Employing a post-positivist paradigm and an interpretative method, semi-structured interviews were conducted with three officials from the Child and Adolescent Protection System in Girardot Municipality, Aragua State. Data were analyzed through discourse triangulation. Findings indicate that families often fail to fulfill their formative and emotional roles, while society normalizes disruptive behaviors influenced by social media. Despite progress in public policies, the state still struggles to ensure comprehensive protection. The study concludes that shared responsibility among these actors is critical to addressing the phenomenon and preventing recidivism.
