Abstract
The purpose of this essay is to explore how Postconventional, Heterarchic and Autotelic Management are related; to understand how these approaches question traditional structures and promote autonomy and self-management in organizations. Ethical theories of postconventional management emphasize the sequential progression of morality. This orientation is not limited to compliance, but assesses the impact of decisions on all parties involved. Adaptive complex systems are characterized by self-management and collaboration between teams. This is used to achieve efficiency and innovation in dynamic environments; which constitutes the foundation of heterarchic and autotelic management. To develop this essay, the methodology was used through the technique of exhaustive review of the literature on these management approaches. Case studies and practical examples of organizations that have implemented these strategies were also examined, assessing both their benefits and the challenges faced. The results show that, in general, these approaches share a core of ethical values, autonomy and self-management, which are essential to foster a culture of trust, collaboration and mutual respect.
